[61] Served as 1st Cav. scout for the Union. Farmed Section 23 at Stover.
They deeded the one acre of ground for Chaney Chapel Free Union
Church. Sam helped buildt the church which later burned, but this is
the cemetery ground where all the children are buried. (Also, part of
the deeding was Liddy Brockway). Moved to California.
